Review: In terms of suspense, The Devil you Know one is probably one of the best books by Jo Goodman that I've ever read. If you start reading the book and think you already have everything mapped out, think again. There are numerous twists and turns, and nothing (and no one) is what it seems in this book.
The romance between Israel and Willa is also lovely and beautifully woven into the story, but for some reason I found in a bit harder to read than some of Jo Goodman's other books. There were a few times where I felt the plot was moving too slowly and too many unnecessary details we being added. Hence the four stars instead of five.
Still, if you like historical romances mixing love and suspense, this one is for you. Recommended.
